The world seems to have stopped moving.

For the 5th week in stretch temperatured have not risen above -20 celcius. No birds flitting about, the cats refuse to go out, my eyelids freeze if I stay out too long, and yesterday we had the first slight mishap due to the cold. In the basement the washing machine is housed, next to it is a little heater so the waterpump will not freeze. By no design of mine I had placed it such that the pipe leading away from the washing machine kept frost free too. Then Martien placed it a little bit differently to keep the wine warm and instantly the pipe froze. So no washing for a few hours, luckily placing the heater back unfroze the pipe very fast too :-D

The trees are covered by ice and are gone all brittle, outside is absolute total silence....the hut the boys built this summer stands awaiting warmer times..

Fortunately there is always fresh warm bread :-D

It is constantly raining here. It pours and its dark and its misserable.
Does your weather get to you after awhile? It's probably bright in your house. Its usually dark in mine. I actually buy day light bulbs to brighten it up abit. We actually have a disorder called SAD because of the lack of light. Alot of people suffer from this and actually physically need light in order to function. Knitting helps me alot. I have my bright day lite and just knit away. This makes me happy. I really enjoy your blog and your felting is amazing. I bought your tutorial for felted flowers and was amazed at the result. The sander was a genius idea.

In Holland the weather did indeed get to me, grey, windy, dark, very yuk!
Here in Norway the snow makes everything light and shiny, added to the fact this is only my second winter here so it all is still fun and new :-D
Ask me in 10 years how I find the weather and you will get a different response no doubt!
Take extra vitamin D 3 and try to go outside even if it is miserable weather. It really does help.

It is rather cold yes and I'd like for the temperature to go back up to -10 or so. Even if only to be able to start my car without having to preheat it for an hour...

That hut looks cold and lonely--but I bet it's full of secrets and good-time memories just waiting to happen! I'll be right over for some of that bread (are you letting your hair grow? Looks great!) I'll bring the raspberry cheese-creme-fraiche dessert!

wow Inger, It sure does look beautyfull, but I can understand when You want to have the temperature a bit up. We have had snow for 2 weeks in row and that is as you know exceptional for the Netherlands. It just started raining and aa the temparature was +4C today snow will probably be gone by tomorrow.... After this weekend the say it will get colder again.... I can imagine all roads are getting icy again.... fingers crossed.

Oh and yes, I can nearly smell that beard you bake!!
